Greed, revenge, envy, betrayal…
Everyone knows life doesn’t always go to plan, but it’s worse when it happens in the middle of a high rise first.
Katarina Bishop had run away from her heist society and been pulled back so it was only a matter of time before Hale was pulled back to the high society. When Hazel Hale, the owner of Hale industries and grandmother to W. W. Hale the fifth, passes away Hale is forced to go back to his life for the funeral and Kat can no longer see the boy she loves.
Hale had always been the black sheep of the family, but when the will is read and he becomes the sole owner of Hale industries even his parents can’t help but feel resentment towards him.
When Marcus offers to drive Kat back to the city he takes her to meet Marianne, his sister, Hazels best friend. Could she be telling the truth? Could the will possibly be fake? What does all this have to do with the Henly?
Can Kat pull off the biggest con yet and keep her whole family alive?
As always with Ally Carters books I loved this book, I couldn’t put it down. After all, what are you meant to do with a book once it’s open?
This is the third book in the Heist Society and it’s just as good as the first two.
